Fascinating educational offerings complement ideally the SHOWING STYRIA exhibitions and invite visitors to delve more deeply into selected subjects. Besides regular fixed tours at all three of the locations in Graz, various formats are offered on themes that change monthly, which also stimulate visitors to exchange ideas in person and engage in discussion.

Moreover, as part of ‘time journeys’ by bus, rail, bicycle or on foot, the History Museum explores a series of places where history happened. Besides lectures and action days, the Folk Life Museum is also organising two new series of talks: in the Perspective’ series, experts will discuss exhibition themes from various angles, while as part of the ‘Court Talks’ personalities from Styria will talk about their lives within the context of the new show. The offering is rounded off with a cultural programme realised jointly with cooperation partners. In addition to outings, walks and performances, a monthly theme night will take place in the Kunsthaus Graz.

The exhibition in the mobile pavilion is accompanied by a programme with various cooperation partners: the Diagonale film festival will mount an open-air cinema at special locations, the Institute for Art in Public Space Styria invites visitors to link up the exhibition visit with tours around artworks in public space, and the LEADER regions connect innovative ideas with artistic themes—on May 12th, for example, the 100th anniversary of artist Joseph Beuys’ birthday. The mobile pavilion is available to the regional cultural institutions and culturally interested persons in Hartberg, Schladming, Spielberg and Bad Radkersburg for their own events.

Children and youths experience SHOWING STYRIA in a playful, inquiring way, through varied workshops and age-appropriate offerings.
